Search, I know I don't have answers for you. Look on google, that information is way too specific to be found here. Best of luck trying to find weights on the 1G, nobody wants that motor.

i just asked because i am comparing what the car could be like with each motor- i am going to try to build a car forthe ultimate street car competition.

the mr2 got it for econamy and i know the L6 series of motors they put in these cars were heavy and too big. i figure i can take the 5sfe or the 3mv motors and drop them in what ever supra is the lightest.

the 5s motor is the same as the 3s except it is stroked out. you can actually take everything but the head off the turbo mr2 motor and put it on the 5s motor- which i would plan on doing. all i woul dneed is to build the internals. as for the v6 3mv motor from the early camrys EVERYTHING was forged in those motors except the pistons. which i may have arias make me some 8.9:1 compression pistons. and twin turbo the motor.

if the supra ends up being heavier then 2500pounds then i might end up doing up a 280zx or a yota pickup. the base pickup from the early 90s only weighed in at 2500 pounds with teh 3mv motor so. - i am just trying to find somthing a little mre or less aero dynamic as it were.

You won't get a Mk3 down to 2500lbs without cutting large holes in the frame. Stamped sheet metal just wasn't a light manufacturing technique. The Mk4 was lighter than the Mk3. Best of luck to ya, I've seen Mk3's at 2900-ish but 2500 is a hair on the real light side.

My Mk3 - 3780lbs
My CAMRY - ~3000lbs

Not in the MKIII anyway, too heavy. I wouldn't mind a 1G-GTE in a GX71 Mark II/Chaser/Cresta
