3rd Generation water sucks...

So here in washington it kinda likes to flash flood... so last night the roads were kinda flooded and i had to get home. When I was driving the main road ahead of me looked like it had maybe 6in of standing water... well i was wrong, there was about 2 feet and the supra took on some water especially into the intake (ram air unprotected).

When i was going through it i was doing what anybody else would do when 2 feet of water was around you... screamin "oh shit" ... so mental note dont pull a dumb ass move like i did and try to guess a flooded roads depth....

So i took my hydrolocked supra to my local performance shop and he said that my engine was toast... its a non turbo and this is going to be my second motor swap but this time i wanted to go turbo just gte engine, wire harness and turbo ecu right? thanks

When you swap the motor ditch that intake and get one with a dunk bypass. You need to make sure that the motor you get comes complete with ALL the parts. It is better to find a donor car and strip it for parts. There were changes made in 89, so make sure all your parts are correct for the model year.

I know I'm late to the thread, but if you catch water it isn't always murder. You can sometimes pull the plugs and crank, and crank and crank and try to get all the water shot outta it.
