Go to the online Supra manual at www.supras.com. It is under TSRPIII, and go throught the Turbo troubleshooting section. This might help you.

Good luck

in my experience, whistling sounds under boost can also be attributed to loose exhaust manifold nuts. check to see if they are tight or not.

if so, it is best to buy new studs and nuts, and tighten them to the 15-20ft-lbs as in the manual. they are steel studs into the alluminum head, so they will not be able to take lots of torque before just pulling out.

that would be my first place to look.

Lightbulb supra turbo

im not to big into supras yet, specially not the older ones. but i know that my friend had that same problem with his 89' ford probe GT. and like that guy said, it was a loose exhaust manifold nut. so you might want to check that out.
