USA To swap or not to swap

I am in line to receive a '94 N/A MKIV from my grandpa for my 18th b-day my question is should swap the engine for a 2jzgte or just buy a single turbo? What i see is that i could make 400-500 hp at the crank with a single turbo, but i can find more parts for the 2jzgte.

i would go dual turbo..one smaller turbo to spool in the lower RPM and one bigger turbo to spool in the upper and get them tuned like one to run from idle to say 3500rpm and the other to run like 3000rpm up just so theres little lag space in between

You do realize the TT's run the same size turbos right?

You can swap in a GTE, but the front cut you need will still run you $3500+ easy. And plenty of people make > 400hp on BPU Mk4's.

Edit: Actually, you both seem very confused about the workings of Mk4 Supras. They ONLY came in Twin Turbo and N/A form. There was never a single turbo version. The only guys who do single turbo conversions are just that, conversions. They require work, and tuning, and more work. They're far from stock.

I know that they only come in twin or N/A. I was asking if it would be easier and and less money for a swap to a 2jzgte or keep the old engine and put in a single turbo.

Easier: Swap.
Less Money: (probably) Single Turbo.

But that doesn't take into account tuning, fueling and so on.

Were not that rich my grandpa bought one when it first came out in '94. The sad thing is the dealer had a tiwn turbo in stock, but he wanted the N/A. So he asked the dealer to find him an N/A. I guess it was because his last turbo car "droped" was the word he used.
