How many psi can i boost into my 7mgte with a MHG,FCD, Fuel pressure regulator, head bolts and stock ct26? and what HP expect? (engine rebuilt) how many would still be secure for my engine after stock fuel cut?
i have been reading and i didn´t find information of this, i would like to read a post of someone who has done it step by sted and has some numbers, like:
with a ct26 at 17 psi the dyno says 360hp¡¡¡¡¡ or so. They all say the engine takes 500hp but how many psi is it????? and how many psi can stock injectors feed after 14psi? i hope you can help me.
~12 PSI. That said, a CT26 will blow as much pressure as you'd like to. The question is, where does it become inefficient, and that is somewhere in the 12-15PSI neighborhood. Beyond that, it's a lot of superheated air and no real benefit.
As to the 12PSI I mentioned, that mod list you give is safe to an airflow volume that roughly equates to somewhere near 12 PSI. The stock toyota computer has no fuel map beyond that point, so you can't take advantage of the fcd even if you wanted to. You need to look to a MAFT, MAP ECU or VPC type device to provide fuel beyond fuel cut. Toyota figured that since the computer capped airflow, there was no need for a fuel curve beyond this point, hence you need to look to an enhancement to get safely beyond that point.
stock 440cc injectors theoretically are good to 400+ HP. You are running them close to the unsafe limit to get there however. 550's are really where you want to be, and again, that requires a lexus AFM or one of the devices listed above to control. You won't make 500 on a CT26 and have it last more than a few pulls...just not going to happen.
on my stock CT26, i made 289rwhp, 295ft lbs torque at 15psi. i had 550's, a walbro 255lph fuel pump, and an aeromotive fuel pressure regulator. (and my turbo was dying- chipped impeller blades, and lots of shaft play!)
that equates to *roughly* 360bhp.
that all being said, if you're new to the game of modifications, always lean toward the conservative side of tuning. right now, i've got a 60 trim ball bearing CT-26 on there with a 10* clip, and at 10psi, it pulls harder and longer than it did with my old turbo at 15psi.
once i hook up my wideband to the MAFTpro and do a bit of tuning, i should be around the 400-420rwhp range.
Shaeff, Man, what were you doing wrong... that shaft-play must have KILLED those numbers. On 9psi, w/intake and 3" generic exhaust (w/cat & muffler mind you) I got 262hp/315tq no other mods. Stock CT26, Stock 440s, Stock FP, Stock IC, etc.

Who came up with this 500px wide BS?

if you saw a picture of the turbo, you'd know why my numbers were what they were. trust me, the turbo is smoked. there's not one impeller blade that isn't more than 1/4 chipped, and there's more shaftplay than i care to describe!
i was also running insanely rich, which definatly lowered my hp/tq numbers. i've got LOTS of mods, but hadn't gotten around to tuning it at all, which is another reason the numbers were low.
my setup as-is (with my new turbo) is capable of well into the 400+rwhp range. in the springtime, after i get all my bodywork done, FFIM, TB, IC/PIPING, cams, etc..., i'll be pushing about 420rwhp at about 20psi.
