Mk III Tranny Swap questions

I put a 5 sp manual from an 89 into my 87 to replace the automatic. Mechanically everything is fine. However, the ABS no longer works. I assume that's because the ABS is using a sensor from the auto trans which has a different wiring harness at the tranny. The 89 also has ABS. Does anyone happen to know how to get the ABS to work with this swap?

which transmission did you use? w58 or r154?

W58, non-turbo. Both cars are 7MGE engines. I retained the 87's ECU which is the AT version, but O do have the 89's MT ECU as well.
