i have never heard of this being done, but anything is possible with knowledge and money.

to get the most power for the least money, you are better off not reinventing the wheel, unless you want something very unique.

the tested and tried routes are turboing the 5m-ge with a 7m manifold and turbo of your choiuce, or install the whole 7m. others have recently put 1jz's, 2jz's, and other variotions as well.

Too bad turbo boss comes with such a bad name, and that manifold leaves quite a bit to be desired. To do it right is all custom work. The basics of the project would require the use of 2 larger compressor T3 or very small compressor T4 turbos, and the exhaust housing side is still only a guess on my part (haven't ventured too far into that side's research yet). Then, 2 custom, equal length 3 cylinder manifolds, 2 downpipes, 2 wastegates, full fuel upgrades and finally a standalone EMS to get it running properly (lexus AFM and an SAFC may not be enough to control the fueling properly as the boost curve will be nothing like the CT-26).

I've been planning a twin project for a couple of years, though time and money are the 2 limiting factors...so many upgrades and restoration projects...so little time and money left! In all, budget somewhere near $7-9k for this little gem, and even that may be a little on the cheap side.

sure makes the sp63 upgrade at 5k us a lot nicer.
if you are an inventor, go ahead and re-invent the wheel. if you are a following, go with what works.
