yes the topic thats been beating the death out of .....headgasket

ive done alittle ibt of research but as my other post of my problems with my mkIII andi ahve to tear the head back off and i was wondering i have a 263 dolalr cometic custom 3mm thick headgasket on it now and i was wondering if i would have to buy another one of these things or if i could possibly reuse it?

any ideas?

not considered a great idea, but some have had success doing it before. The stopper type gaskets from HKS tend to be easily reused, but like I said, some have no luck reusing, some do. If it's something I wanted to only have to do once, I'd reach into the wallet myself. I'd also try not using a 3mm if I could to, as the thicker gaskets tend to be more prone to failure than thinner ones do.

i never had any problem with the one that i used and idk igeussi ll get another one i just hate to fork out the money again for it...
