So here we are, 10 months later, she finally runs.
This weekend was spent fabbing up intercooler piping, figuring out the last bits of my oil return line issues, and finally getting all the electronics squared away. Here are some photos:
I haven't sucked it up yet and put 'em on youtube.
As you can see, the engine bay is disgustingly dirty and unfinished. I've got everything in right now but my 550cc injectors. We'll see how far I can go on the 440's first. The coolant overflow, and pcv catch cans are still unmounted and floating. Base timing hasn't been done yet. Various other bits are still needing to be done, notable the body and all things associated with it's appearance. The exhaust right now is running just open downpipe, and the VBand is an exhaust leak, I've also got a tiny coolant leak to boot.
Either way, she runs! I'll probably have it 'road worthy' by this coming weekend, I can't wait.

Congrats! Jeeves, Great work! I love the oil filter relocation. Never thought of that.
Great Job!

I'll post more photos of it later. It's actually running to the filter which is where the Windshield Washer bottle used to be, then to the oil cooler which is nestled behind the passenger side headlight. I'll post more explicit photos of that area later today.

The turbo is a mystery turbo. Garrett 57Trim (small, but it's a twin scroll so it should hit fast and hard) turbo, no other identifying information. The real rarity on my car is that manifold, the wastegate manifold and the wastegate itself. :-D She's a real beaut.
Either way, here's what I promised:

The convoluted method of running intercooler piping around everything else in the vicinity.

My intercooler is a bit small..

Very nice. Always loved the HKS manifold (that is a long runner if memory serves).
Indeed. Very rare manifold with all the pieces. I've even got the Wastegate attachment to boot
I now have a new issue. I cannot properly set the CPS to give me 12º Advance. One tooth sets it at ~+30 BTDC back a tooth sets it at about ~-10 BTDC and neither give me room to spin the CPS far enough to get past about +9º. :-/ Gotta troubleshoot that one this weekend.

sounds like you may be off one tooth on the pulley for the exhaust cam, or the dowel pin is in the wrong hole. At least you're close!
We thought that as well, but everything lines up, and she sounds great. Now, I'm looking to make it so that the timing cover can be removed with the thermostat housing in place. It's muder pulling that everytime I want to look under that cover. I know that someone (name has skipped my mind momentarily) makes a clear cover that can be removed with the thermostat in place, but it's also $149.00.
Ugh.
Leaks and all, I took it out on the street twice this week to put an 11.2:1 AFR tune in her. She pulls like MAD and that external wastegate is LOUD, I scared some kid off his skateboard with it. Can't wait to begin daily driving her to break in this engine.
