nowhere near as exciting as Jeeves getting his car back together, but after 2 years I've rounded 3rd and im in the home stretch. Most of the fab and rebuild work is complete for every part other than the engine, some coatings I want applied and final engine management wiring...you think your intercooler pipes are a nightmare to fit I finally got the bulk of the bits I need for twins. Pipes need some alteration as this was mounted in a MKII, but I'm so glad to have finally made it past the hump and at least acquire all the main parts!
Greddy's version of the Mitsu TD05-16G. Not my first choice, but I'll have to see how they are. I suspect they will be laggier than I would have liked, but I picked up the whole kit for less than the price of a pair of the GT25R's I'm convinced are ideal. If I don't like them, I can always change them out in a couple of years again...but at this point, I'm just sick of seeing the car on stands and want to get it on the road again (going onto year 3 now, though there isn't much original left anymore).
Sounds good!!! A twin turbo would be crazy awesome!! I can't wait to see you finish it so I could see it at the monthly TSC meets!

Thanks! Those are actually the returns...The inlets are "under" the turbos in that pic. The greddy kit hangs the turbos under the manifold, so all you see looking down from above on this kit is a den of snakes...6 exhaust runners, 2 compressor outlet pipes heading to the front of the engine bay to the intercooler, the inlets for each turbo running from the airbox area and of course, the intercooler pipes coming back to the throttlebody. I still have no idea exactly how I'm going to fit all that plumbing in there and still look clean, but I'm planning to put my spare engine back in the next couple of weeks so I can start tack welding up some tubes and see how things go!
lol...I'll see what I can do. I may have to find a plastic cover and pretend it doesn't exist, or weld the hood down so I odn't have to see people gasp at the uglyness.
I may bite the bullet and get a front face intake just to eliminate one of the pipe runs...though that is really not something I want to get into now.
Having my car running now, I really wish I'd gone FFI (Front Facing Intake, for those keeping tabs) now. It would have simplified my piping 10x while reducing heat soak, and cleaning up the engine at the same time.

Who came up with this 500px wide BS?
So you're saying... that your Supra will be a show this summer?
Lets not get carried away
I'd like to say yes, but there's still quite a bit to get done. I want to be in a position that everything is reassembled this year, and painted, and perhaps it'll get a few spins around the block to get the break in complete, or just be far enough to test all the new components. Tuning will likely not be done, but we shall see!
i'm a little behind so i'm sorry but are you twin turboing the 7m? Or did you swap in a 1/2jz? Either way it's gonna be sick! I cant wait to see if finished either
7m twin. If I had to go to the effort to swap an engine and do all that wiring, I'd swap in an aluminium block LS engine, slap on a really big turbo and call it a day
