I bought 3 lips that suprang was selling. I received them 3 MONTHS after sending my money. When I finally received them 2 were damaged, and all 3 are of VERY POOR QUALITY. The fiberglass is extremely thin, and in areas there is NO glass at all, just resin, and air voids and deep mold marks in the gelcoat.
I took them to a body shop to get a quote to fix them, and it was 3-4 hours each for 2 and the other is so bad they refused to even give me a quote. Suprang states that the fabricator will not take them back because it is "freight damage". The problem with that is they only insured them for the minimum amount of $100, which is not even enough to cover 1 let alone 3. The thinness of the laminate is the reason for the freight damage. But from what he tells me the fabricator insists they are in "top shape" and refuses to refund any money! Now that is customer service.
I would not recommend wasting your money on these, I did and am out $115, along with 2 outher Supra owners I got them for. So that is $345 for 3 pieces of junk.
Any comments from people who purchased one of theses would be appreciated. I have pictures I can send if anyone is interested in actually seeing the LACK of quality.
Thanks for the offer. I worked in composites for 8+ years, and may fix them myself.
That is what makes me so mad, to pay that kind of money and get such poor quality and workmanship. That is what you are really paying for, there is less than $10 of material cost in the parts.

I work with composites as well.. I've made several CF products.. And currenttly two CF parts for my Prelude.. a Front lip and some Fog light bezels..
I would take my personal revenge by fixing up one of the lips and turning it into a plug and taking a mould off of it.. then make a few parts to sell to recoup the loses.. of course I would undercut the original seller in such a way it would make him think twice about is business ethics..
I'd love to see a pic of the lip I'f I like it maybe I cna buy one of the crappy ones from you, fix it, make mould and fabricate a CF version for you...

If you are serious about making the CF replica, I will supply the existing part, and we can work out details. I will be out of town all week on business. I will contact you when I get back to see if we can work something out.

PS, I will be at the Supra meet in August, can't wait. Had a great time last year.
