I was wondering if anyone had any sites that had any upgraded intercooler pipes, or if anyone had the dimiensions for each pipe needed to make 3" hard piping. So worst come to worst i can end up having someone custom make them for me. If after market universals arent to much
fidanza lightwieght flywheel ,turbo back exhaust, puttin the 3000pipe for intake, intake as well, boost controller, electric 16inch fan so no more stock fan, lightwieght crank pulley. But debating blocking off egr like my TT 300zx, and get rid of some of those emissions
How's that lightened crank pulley? Those things caused numerous issues back in the day.
EGR block off's are really pretty worthless, except to clean things up. I don't think you need 3" pipes at all. If you're running the stock IC, size the pipes to fit the in/out size of the intercooler. No reason to deal with the flow loss of changing sizes.

Who came up with this 500px wide BS?
3" piping is too big for your application. you'd be loosing power. 2.5" would be just right.
as for blocking off the egr, don't do it unless your running some kind of different management system because the stock ecu uses it to fuck with the mixture and shit. just leave it.

for what it's worth, i would NEVER put any lightweight crank pulley on my car unless it was the ATI dampened unit. the problems you've heard about are because units like the unorthadox are NOT dampened, (as our stock one IS dampened).
undampened pulleys do not rid the bottom end of dangerous vibrations, which eventually rip the motor apart. the ATI unit is excellent, and i'll be buying one. (and it's available without A/C, too) worth every penny!
and i agree- 2.5" pipes have proven to flow well enough to 500+hp.

on your kit, another + for the 2.5 inch. If you upgrade the intercooler, you might think about 3 inch at that point. Ideally, the throttlebody is ~2.75 so going larger than that is kind of pointless, but good luck finding 2.75 mandrel bends...granted that's what I'm using, but a bear to find and pricey when you do.
personally, i'm running a BB ct-26 (60 trim, one of 5 made) 2.5" hardpipes, and an accufab 75mm throttlebody. 3" pipes are a bit large for the ct to fill, so i went with 2.5". i'll use 3" when i get my gt3540r.
unfortunately, steel or stainless are the only 2 metals I can work with (I would love to have a tig laying around, but alas, that's a long way down the shopping list).

A mig with argon can do aluminum.

true, but the "row of nickles" is what I want to see in aluminium welds, and I'm nowhere near good enough for that...steel and stainless I grind all welds flat so after coating or chroming it all looks like one piece, and so the appearance isn't as important. I've never been patient enough to get aluminium smooth...
