mass air flow sensor

i have heard a few of my friends that have had 87 - 88 supra say that installin some mass air flow sensor from a lecxus adds power? ... because my mass air flow sensor is starting to die on me..

Swaping in the ENTIRE Mass Air Flow box (with electronics) at the same time as installing 550cc injectors is a well known swap. Swapping in just the AFM or the box is a good way to go lean and damage your engine.

technically and ideally, yes. Many simply fuel tune with the pressure and can get fairly close, or they have the AFM screw put in and tune the air as well to get around the electronics. The piggy back allows a better and more accurate tune, and can get you away from the need to use a screw.

Lex AFM + 550'S + S-AFC = A stout street car. It's been proven for decent numbers but once you upgrade to a larger turbo, I recommend upgrading to a piggy back that gets rid of the AFM
