I have no idea what this is. I was going through my lovely box full of stuff that came with my Supra (since I bought it torn apart and my friend threw all the stuff into a box) but I have no clue. Is it some sort of factory BOV?

That is an egr valve...normally it's mounted at the back of the intake manifold.

ah... I saw something else and thought it was the egr valve lol. Looks like i'm gonna be in trouble putting this engine back together... lol

Go buy a block off plate and get it outta the engine bay. Or if you have a JDM block, pull the block off plate off of it and swap it over (JDM engines didn't have those).

unless you have some kinda hookups with the inspector, you better have it on there...Cali is a beast to pass smog that way as I recall hearing.

Now did the 7m's come with factory bov's?

They use bypass valves that release into the intake before the turbo. Vent to atmosphere varieties are not going to pass smog either (if they don't pass here, they certainly won't be cool in cali).

Few times I have seen the truck of Nippon motors company taking the load of pre-pulled engines on Ecology auto wrecking.These mtors are later stripped of their US tags and sold to the people as low mileage Japanese motors.
