Help

So I need to remove the bolt thats holding on to the harmonic balancer, it's a 20mm bolt. I need to take it off because I'm replacing my waterpump. My question is, does anyone know if that bolt is right or left hand thread? I'm having a heck of a time trying to take it off. The car is an auto so I cant just put it in gear. The car is a 1994 turbo auto.

Thanks

Bolt would be normal right hand thread. If you have an impact wrench use this. Otherwise try a strap wrench around the pulley or installing bolts into the pulley face (location where puller attaches). Then place a bar between them to lock the pulley. For more ideas do a TN search as this subject has come up before.

I took mine off using the starter bump method. Sounds crazy but when done properly it is very easy and safe. Almost everyone I know that took theirs off used this method. Loosens the bolt in no time.
