I found a 89 Supra nonturbo, auto, reg top in Denver CO at a dealer.
I put $$$ down to hold it untill a I get it inspected.
I haven't seen it yet as it 4 hrs away.
It has 125K mi on it and dealer says it runs good.
Any I should have the inspector should check that a normal inspection wouldn't cover?
It has a loud exhaust (that will be comming off) and cold air kit.
Is the cold air good or bad?
It doesn't have cruise control, can it be added after market?
Did a carfax and it has "Vehicle serviced Cylinder head repaired" at 115,817 01/14/2003
Carfax said it has a Sprot roof but dealer says it doesn't have sprot roof, maybe he doesn't know what a sport roof is.
I got my $$$ back.
I drove 3 hrs to see it smole
Did test deive a mint condition '83 944. Cool car but no cruise or power steering and the ac needed a little charge as it didn't cool very will. It had 51k mi and was $6200. Passed, need crusie for my 140 mi/day commute.
I also drove a MR2 and still enjoy them very much.
Would love to get one but not sure how I would survive a deer or elk attack.
Yeah, careful with the supras, they tend to blow head gaskets. MR-2s are sweet, and 944s are going to be expensive parts. I'd go with an MR-2 if I had the choice...which is why I did. =)

Greddy Turbo timer, wideband O2, AEM Air-Fuel Gauge, and Greddy Boost Controller installed.
Project '87 MR2 almost running.
I had a friend check out the 87 Supra auto non turbo with 135k.
He said it is in very good shape, started and ran well, NO SMOKE.
Seats and rest of interior was in great shape too.
They said they would take $2695
What should I look at or have checked?
What is wrong with the M7?
I will be driving 140 mi/day with it. Can a 87 Supra handle 140 mi/day?
7m = BHG... a lot LOL. My Supra used to belong to my friend and he went through... 4 in the time he owned it? I've yanked the 7m and found myself a 2jzgte... MUHAHAHA!

man, i really get tired of reading that. BHG- a LOT. ya know why?
BHG #1- toyota's fault for the low torque setting on the head.
any BHG thereafter is the owner's neglect ONLY. i don't care what you say. if you get the proper machine work done, and torque it down to 72ft lbs (or more up to 100) you'll never get a BHG again if you know what you're doing.
a great way to free yourself of blame is to place it on something that does exactly what you tell it to, or react exactly how you prepare it to react.
i would have no problems at all driving my car 140+ miles a day, and i'm far from stock, but still on the stock rotating assembly.
