And I can't make up my mind. I ran into a guy the other day that will trade me a 1UZ for my 1JZ. Hmmm.........

It would be nice to not have to send to Japan for parts, and the low end power of the 1UZ would be nice for daily driving, but I am not sure if I want to do yet another transplant. Any thoughts?

I would rather step up to an aluminium block, but that said, the UZ makes the 1j seem like it's made of paper in terms of durability. Gobs of torque, easily takes a turbo, and as you said, all the parts are easy to get...

tough call. I'd hate to do a swap for the sake of it, but if I was looking and had the jz on a stand, I'd probably trade.

My roommate is ditching his 1UZ for a 1JZ. Too many things like breaking and the aftermarket isn't there.
