need help with clutch

i recently drop a jdm motor into my 89 supra and got it started, but it wont shift at all. if i force it it would, but besides that nothing. i bleed the system and everything and it was okay. i reach my hand into the trans window and pulled out a ring. i dont know where the ring is supposed to go. i drop the tranny and found a ring in front where the fork would sit. i thinking the fork would probably sit in between rings?? if any body gots any info or any pics of how it would look like let me know. or where i can get the rings to replace it?? thanks

That's the throwout bearing. You should replace that whenever you install a new clutch.

Well, it could be several things. There are several lock rings that should go in the clutch as well. Is the shift collar (I don't know teh proper term) installed correctly? It's the neck that sticks out of the clutch itself, that you put the input shaft of the transmission through.
