gas still smells

Ok guys,

I already went to get my gas tank fixed. Its been two weeks now and finally I can have a full tank. But there's still a gas smell that bothers me. The smell is not that worst than before and it just comes once in a while I wonder what could it be. Any kind of help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Kristoffer

i had this problem with my 87t. i had a small gas leak in a rubber hose that is just under the fuel pressure regulator and the manifold.the line was metal then about 6"of fuel line and back to metal.probably worth a look.

now that it has been a couple weeks, can you nail it down to a specific location? do you see any drips or puddles under the car when you park?

gas evaporates when it drops, so you gotta apot it right away if it is not much, and it doesn't take much to make a stink.

do you smell it all the time? just after starting, after driving?

if you are still alive this weekend, i'll take a peek at the meet. come and grab me and a few other guys to take a sniff.look.

I just smell once in a whille and theres no more leak coz if there is I can see it right away coz I put a piece of carpet under it just to see if it still leaks. But Im saving gas now and its incredible I just wonder where the smell coming from. Cool I'll see you at the meet this Friday Im looking forward into it.
