i know the MKIII is a nice car but its not THE BEST..the MKIV is best..lol. but neway. some of you may know i have a turbo MKIII targa top and when i drive around school people are always talking about me..good things of course. about OH MY GOD ITS A SUPRA!! and stuff. people in my class are like man you got such a nice effin car etc.etc.etc. and there people there with real nice STi's EVO'S and 240sx's and the chose me ive had random people come up to me telling me about one of these cars they had during their teenage years and such. they all love them. a gas station attendant told me i was a really lucky man for having that nice of a car that in in the good condition its in. i feel loved now
Nope, no supra effect here. Only when the external wastegate opens and their cars sink into the distance do people talk about my car. Out here we've got turbo fox bodies running 9second quarters and LS1's on spray that play with Carrera GT's, my lil' ole Mk3 isn't squat.
Actually, I think my situation is quite reversed. Despite badging people ask me what it is, ask if it has a turbo, etc.

Who came up with this 500px wide BS?
From personal observation, I think that MK4s tend to have polar reactions from different people. They either try to make an attempt to compliment it, or find a way to put it down. It's like I either hear someone complimenting, or someone saying something negative. Then there are those people that say "it's just a Supra", like somehow they are better than everybody else that looked at the car. It's like the car's always being judged, and someones always trying to make a point, either for or against it. My friends in their MR2, RX7, Vette, etc never get that kind of reaction from people. Just my $0.02.
well noone in my home county has a supra.. actually ive NEVER seen one driving around in my 3 years of driving and ive been to about 8 or 9 different states on the east coast.
I dont even drive mine and I get a lot of compliments on it. Everyone cant wait for me to get it running. They already know it's gonna be a monster lol
Driving an MKIV is always going to be a head turner and topic of conversation. I have learned to deal with the numerous questions and long conversations about the car everytime I have taken it out of the garage.
