how hard would it be to swap a 93 and up 2jzge non turbo engine in a 88 supra. could I keep the tems system or not, and how much wiiring would it be, and is the supra 2jzge engine the same in the gs300 lexus and the sc300 or is there some differences,
i have a friend that is going to part out a gs300 so I just was woundering how much trouble will I get my self into, and what transmission should I look into getting the gs300 is automatic and my supra is manual and I would rather keep it this way if I can
You are going to have to change out the front sub frame for an 89+, get new motor mounts, get a R-154 trans with bell housing, a fly wheel, a clutch, cheat the ECU so that it will start and run with no auto trans hooked up......it goes on and on.
The real question is are you ready and willing to spend the money and do the work?

thanks guys I just wanted to know how much work, I thought if it was just a engine transmission swap I would, but I didnt think it would be this difficult
no Im probally going to build back up my 7mge thats got a thrown rod. but I might do a swap if something out there is cheaper. does any one know if the mulit lared head gaskets are good at ebay I have heard some good stuff but will they hold boost if I turbo charge it in the future
If you're going to turbo it, you should really just cut the foreplay and swap in a 7M-GTE, with a machined block, machined head, metal head gasket and ARP head studs.

Who came up with this 500px wide BS?
do you think it would be easier to just swap engines, could you use the same ecu and wiring harness or not, what would be required to make the car run with a 7mgte swap
up to a point. It depends how much power you want to run. Cross into the high 300's and I'd have enough money around to pick up an R154 for when the W58 lets go. Some get good life out of them, many do not. The R154 is a much more resilient gearbox should you enjoy drag racing or you head for real high HP
