I would like to know if it is possible to put the toyota century V12 into the MA70 body? Has anyone done it? With 5 liters of displacement I would think it to have merrit.
if it fits there, it fits a MK III. That said, it's not a bolt in in any way shape or form. This is one of those "sure it'll fit, how deep is your wallet" engine swaps
OK, as a mechanic I understand the concept if your wallet is deep enough. Can the engines be obtained? Where can I find technical data on the engine. Has anyone done this before? And it has to work with a stick.
The engines are somewhat obtainable. Occasionally, one will fall into the hands of a JDM importer, but they generally don't go looking unless you request it. In terms of build, they are essentially a pair of 2jz-ge engines married in a single casting, hence they should fit. For transmissions, you'll have to look around. It might work with a 2j/1j bell housing meaning the w58, r154 or getrag are options, but I really don't know. Your importer may be able to answer that for you. Stock they are only mated to slush boxes.
Toyota as far as I know did not release much technical data on them. This is their primary limo engine, so it's not like there's a haynes manual laying around, and the TSRM will be in japanese, if you could ever find one. They rate it at 280 horse per the gentlemans agreement, but the 400+ foot lbs suggests they are outright lying about the power. I'm unsure if anyone has found out what they produce stock.
Jarco is one of the more reputible ones. It'll cost more, but they may be able to get a harness and computer too. I'd try to get a front clip myself, but that may prove impossible. Toyota according to rumour purchases back as many whole cars as they can find themselves.

Actually, they list at:
206kW@5200rpm
481Nm@4000rpm
This translates to:
276hp @ 5200rpm
354.7 ft-lbs @ 4000rpm
Now, this was during the time period of the gentleman's agreement," but the torque wasn't quite as high as 400+. You can find a stock 1GZ Century being dyno'd on Youtube. It only claims to have made 245rwhp, so... who knows?

Who came up with this 500px wide BS?
Thanks for the information so far. Does anyone have contact information for Jarco? Also, any information that anyone can find and pass on is greatly appreciated. Anyone know of a source for parts( aftermarket custom of course). Like I said any help, I really want to make this happen. Has anyone done this converssion before? By the way feel free to drop me a line at icemanspecops@yahoo.com. Thanks again.

butt.....why? the 7mgte and 2jzgte are plenty powerful, so why add a heavy ass V12 with comprable power?
