I am sorry to interupt but can other differentals be used instead like the one from a older corolla because I have done alot of searchs and found alot that are the helical type.

The OEM diff is a bulletproof rear end if it starts off as a good one. I have run over 200 passes a the track with mine (he was rebuilt about 4 years ish ago) The MKIII diff is a similar design to the MKIV TRD diff fwiw.
