Bolt On Boost?

Is it possible to boost a 7mge just as you would boost any other n/a car. (Manifold/Turbo/Wastegate/Intercooler/BOV/Piping/Oil Lines) Without any other extensive modifications I really want to boost my supra. I really do not have the knowledge or money to make any extensive modifications or a gte swap. Does anyone know how much a gte would cost to be put in professionally. or if a so called "bolt on boost" is possible

Swapping in the GTE from the same year car is far easier than turboing an NA motor. For a swap, you literally gut the engine bay from one, put the parts in from a doner car and swap the ECU. Granted, you can use the CT26 and manifold on the NA, which puts you light years ahead of building from scratch, but there are a number of little things to overcome you don't need to with a straight swap of the whole works.

If you don't have the knowledge to swap an engine, don't even consider boosting one...unless you're made of cash and want to keep replacing things until you get it right...Keep reading, here and supramania.com for good swap info. Don't bother asking "how do I swap" on supramania unless you want to get flamed into next year...read...be a sponge until you understand the basics. They have a swap and a turbo/na section.

That said, since the chassis are the same, you already know every part from a turbo car will fit in an NA car, and vice versa. Its a start...

right on. this has been covered SO many times. i'm not going to tell you to search, but i will agree with bob, and tell you to be a sponge. that's what i did for nearly two years before i even posted a single thread anywhere!
