Idles rough

Hello there fellow enthusiast.
i seem to be having problem with my cars idle.I took my air filter off and washed it last night,Re installed it today and when i started the car the idle is kinda rough and when i gas it sooon as the rpm reaches 25,000 it drops to 8,000.This happened to me before but the cause was my plug wires were wet from steam cleaning my car.
Could my air sensor have gotten wet when i hosed down the filter (K&N).
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
NiTrO

i answered you in PM. most likely, you either got water, oil, or dirt in the afm sensor, which destroys the readings, making the sensor garbage, or you didn't plug in the connector properly after you re-installed it.

hey man, go easy on him, he just flushed 250 dollars down his driveway, litterally.

never wash your afm housing with the electronics still inside. it will destroy them instantly.
