Angry Water!!!!!

i was cleaning out my mkiii supra and i lifted the hatch to clean the back and i saw the little storage spaces on the side.. i opened the one on the left and i saw a little kinda bag and pulled it out and it was all wet but it was the jack and tools and i thought..OH SHIT.. there water down in the crevice for the jack..how the hell did it get there?? was it from the brake light?? or what caused it.. i need to fix this FAST before it rusts out unless it already did.

when I first got my Supra, water was pouring into the
back, and it was a bad seal on the lower part of the
hatchback glass...it was hard to see, until I looked
at it closely, from underneath the liftback. the seal had
separated completely, leaving about a 1/8th inch gap,
all the way across.

I sealed it with silicone, now I need to find some new
window rubber, and reinstall the window.
