accordian hose

first i got a few questions:
1. on my intake accordian hose for my 87 turbo i had work done ( my HG) about 1500 miles ago and when they were taking the intake off the RIPPED the BOV out and put a hole in the intake hose. they put the BOV back in and put toyota kinda shit glue around it and of course it didnt hold. well i took it off to fix it, and i know if you take the bov out of the intake and dont cover the hole itll run rich. now theres excess spaces around my BOV when i TRY to put it back in my intake and would this cause a rich misfire??? with there being a little bit of open space around the hose.

now... i took the accordian hose off and i was going to plug the hole for good and just let the BOV vent to the open air.. anything bad about this??
i wouldnt think there is because its just excess pressure. but i thought id check. Thanks for any help.

Would this not cause stalling problems similar to when people have BOV which vent to open air? Though im not 100% on this.

Get a new hose, and go to the hardware store and ask for a bulkhead fitting, cut a nice hole and put the bulkhead fitting there to connect the BOV.
