uz question!

well in my sourcing i found a front clip from a 96 sc400. now. i know not a easy task, custom mounts, wiring blah blah blah. but main question is, can the tranny from my 86.5 still work with the uz? i know i need the bell housing i found that, but since they are both A340's it shouldn't matter or is there a diffrence with the valve body control system as in the A541E's?

oh the A541E's diffrences is something with pulse timing or something like that which mainly made the trd charger for the 1mz not work with the 94-96 mz's.

also does anyone have any good links on the uz swap?

I really don't have much info for you, but I'm curious why you're doing the swap? My roommate owns an SC400 and is abandoning it in favor of a 1JZ. The engines aren't that ballsy to start (though opening up the exhaust is quite favorable) and they don't hold up long when boost is applied.

i like taking the uncommon road not too many did the uz swap, i also like n/a engines also, but hearing back about the front clip and it's missing the harness i might just take a diffrent engine.


so can the 3s-gte ecu drive the 5vz auto?

but mainly right now i have about a month till i really need to get around to placing in a new engine so ill be tossing around ideas, heck i have a northstar laying around .........
