Lookin for Basic Info on MKIII

So im close to buying a '90 Supra 5spd, Non-Turbo.

Curious...is it better to Turbo this engine, or just get Jap Spec engine???

What would it cost to do these...and which will give more power?

Im new here, and i wanna know what kinda money im lookin at spending to give the car a lil boost. I plan on buying it...calling the guy tomorrow and will prolly go look at it.

THANKS ALL!!!

Rich

IMHO, it's much better to start with a turbo engine if you want the turbo. Doing a conversion on an N/A can get very expensive, very quickly. If you're doing a jap engine swap, then I suggest you get a MKIII body that is in mint condition that has already blown it's head gasket or has severe engine problems. This was you can strip out the orig. engine and tranny and swap in the imported ones.

Hope that helped a little.

if it's cheap, go for it. then you can do things once rather than twice, ie new turbo etc, injectors, engine work..... but that's just me and how i'd do it.
