84 celica supra, good deal?

Ive been looking around for one of these and came across this listing in my area. The only thing I'm stuck on is the motor, 6jzme, Ive never heard about this swap before, what car is that engine out off? And is $3500 for a car that is apparently clean a good deal? Any insight is apreciated

Toyota Celica-Supra 1984 162000km automatic, V-6 3.0 liter japanese (6jzme) installed. Original 2.8 liter engine for sale as well. Reason for sale: Need more space for my next project

$3,500 neg

Geez. Normally I'd say that's too much for a car that age, but finding one of those that is that clean simply doesn't happen everyday. If you have the money and you want the car, I say do it.

seller is confused. It's likely a 6M-GE. Basically a 3L 5M (7M block with pretty much a 5M head).

2k-6k depending on whether the owner realizes what they have and the market in their area.

No one would happen to know about a clean MK2 all original for under 2500$ lying around someplace, preferably near Quebec or Ontario?..... I'm on a full out search

Stop by torontosupraclub.com. bshapton (username) has a pair for sale right now. Man knows his MKII's as well, so if he says they are good, they likely are. I think he has an 83 and an 85.

It was an 84 and someone beat me to it, I spent 2 days emailing Bob and talking with his friend Sebastian who was selling it, I even offered him more money, but the car was already sold. The 83 is really nice but its out of my price range, Im studying now and cant pay for it. Luck has it in for me

If you are looking for MKII's, you need to look on CelicaSupra.com. There is always one or more for sale on there.

I check it religiously, thanks a lot for the suggestion though. I'm also on torontosupraclub.com too. Gonna get it eventually....
