What should i do?

well as in my previous post my HG blew up COMPLETELY. and im taking HPPT in school. (high performance powertrains) i go to wyotech. and they would prolly let me build an engine.

now. should i find a used 7mgte block. bore it out. resurface everything and build up as much as i can while there

say f- this car and sell it

or have a stock HG put back in

Ok, as you're in the Supra forum, I doubt any of us will flat out tell you to "say F- this car and sell it"

However, these cars are NOT cheap these days especially if they're going to be modded. A Stock HG is only really good for the sub-11psi club.

So...
If you've got the money and time, build it. If not sell it. I've found very few people are happy with these vehicles in stock form.

Lots of people will say rebuilt, and it doesn't mean jack. For $400, I'm guessing it's a 100% stock 7M, MAYBE a JDM engine .

If its just the head gasket and the engine is good just replace the head gasket. If you look at Cometic gaskets they are really good and cheaper than HKS and GReady and suppose to do good with a higher boost. If you have the money get a Gready Stopper Gasket they are suppose to be the best and sometime can be reused. I am trying to save for either the cometic or if I have enough money the stopper gasket and get ready for mine to blow.

its a JDM and it as i said comes with everything but the wiring harness. Im gonna hopefully pick it up wednesday. and i could prolly sell the parts i dont need on ebay. Theres a kid who wants the CT26 from school and he would prolly pay 150$ for it as long as theres no shaft play.

How many times do I have to say it? You CANNOT just pull apart the block and head, replace the gasket and expect it to be fine. You MUST machine the two mating surfaces.

Rebuild it.

You could do it quick an easy too. You really only need ARP studs and a MHG. Then you'll be fine.

Are you on any other forums? ie. CelicaSupra.com, SupraMania.com, SupraForums.com, etc..

They all have a wealth of knowledge dedicated to the Supra.

Good Luck with the car.
