Most people just hack a honda intake pipe and stick it in. There's no performance gain from it, so nobody is willing to spend the dough.

I'll answer that with a big maybe. It is freer flowing, thus less of a restriction and you may gain a little power (I doubt more than 2-5). The downside is it is now sucking hot air, which will rob power (and that may be 2-5). It will depend entirely on how cool the intake air actually is where the filter is located. If it's in the engine bay, you have a hot air intake, and I guarantee you no gains, and possibly a loss of power. If the filter is outside the bay, say under hte headlamp and ahead of the rad support, you may well have a gain.

My butt dyno didn't see any gains with the intake. Sounded different, no real gains.

Stock replacement filter? Very small, but yet. Probably not even close to 1HP.

(Basing this offa my Previa). I noticed a teeny bit of acceleration. Filter? $39. A few days later, I saw a adapter and a cone air filter... bought it. $20. And I can REALLY feel the acceleration from it

I wouldn't get a stock replacement K&N air filter, but more like a cold air intake.

Previa is going to be VERY different from this vehicle.

I did a full replacement. The HKS SMF I went to breathed through a much larger hole (the stock airbox had a large reducer to quiet engine noise down some) but overall I didn't see too much gain.
