93-98 supra trd hood question.

Ok im possibly going to buy a rmm front lip and a rmm spoiler and i was looking at a trd hood like the one off the fast and furious. My question is does it let alot of rain in/ I have an open filter so im worried that if i get it the water will eventualy get sucked up into the engine.Do they make a block off plate that i could put around and on top of the filter but then that defeats the purpose of an open filter i would suppose.Sorry for the nood question but i just bought the car and dont want to srew anything up it my dream car.

The authentic TRD hoods have removable rain guards to to cover the vents. I believe some replica hoods, like Seibon, also have the rain guards.

I hope the owner doesn't mind, but here's a picture I found of the rain guards installed.

Yup, just bolts on there. I've been caught in thunderstorms with my Top Secret style hood, and haven't ran into any electrical or mechanical problems. As long as the car is moving, most of the water just runs off to the windshield. The little water that does get through evaporates as soon as it touches the engine.
