HKS Drag Supra (MKIII MA70 7MGTE) - Japanese Promo Video

In digging through my archive of old VHS tapes, I ran across a promo video for HKS's MKIII Drag Supra from the early 90's. I thought some of you might enjoy it.

In the RRC Drag race's top category "Pro Stock Class", there was a car with insane performance. It was the HKS 70 Supra. As a proof, in Aug 1991, RRC 3rd race, the car broke that 8 sec wall nobody was able to break before. It ran a 7.91!!

The engine was:
- 7M-G Twin Turbo
- Forged Pistons
- 272deg computer cam
- Special oversized valves & springs
- Rev limit: 8750rpm
- 826 hp (850 ps) at 20 psi (~1.4 bar)
Quote:
Tubular frame with CF body panels
7M-GTE (destroked to 2.89 L)
Callies crank shaft
Carillo Rods
HKS Pistons
HKS Cams
Twin Garrett T04 turbos
HKS IC
Custom Moroso oil pan and dry sump system
ATI crankshaft dampener
2-speed ATI computer-controlled, air-shifter powerglide transmission
B&M Shifter
Light driveshaft
Custom diff with 5.4:1 Richmond gears
Lamb axels and brakes
Koni shocks

Final interesting note: It was capable of being street driven.
It was rocking a 5M crank, and this was the bay:
