Oily film on my engine, no evidence of leaks

Hey guys:

Have a 1987 Supra 7MGE with an oily film on my engine. No obvious evidence of leaks. Oil cap feels tight. Any suggestions on what this might be??? Engine has 145,000 and runs as smooth as when I first bought her. Original engine too. Help. Never seen this before.

The first thing I'd check if it's just a persistent film is the crankcase breather hose (it's the one that runs to the intake valve cover, behind the alternator and just below the oil cap.

The valve covers them selves may be leaking. Check for oil down around the spark plugs and around the outer edges of the covers. If the seals are original they may still feel soft, but have probably compressed enough to merit replacement.

Do NOT over tighten the valve cover screws. The torque spec is 22 INCH pounds.... IIRC.
