Problem with supra

I don't know to call it a hesitate or stall. I will just explain what is going on. When I push the gas it takes a second to raise the RPMs. Like a jump. Once you push the gas pedal a second later it jumps it is like a skip or something. What could be wrong? I don't know really what to call it, between the three skip, stall or hesitate.

I had a problem like this, it was a broken spark plug wire and it only showed it's head under certain circumstances. However. at idle this may just be normal behavior. Under load it should do this same thing. If it does, I'd suggest you pull codes as my guess is that it's in a limp home mode of some sort.

yeah when my friend owned my Supra it was in a mode like that. That was on the old, rod-knocky engine though.
