As in to purchase? What are you swapping?

Sheer curiousity: How old are you, and how much automotive experience do you have under your belt?

An engine swap at any shop can run up to a couple thousand in labor costs on top of the price of the part and for the most part they won't know anything about the swap except for what you tell them.

I remember when I used to ask these questions on tercelonline.com about swapping in a 4e-fte into my Tercel. Ah.. memories.

Now. Like Jeeves said, unless you take it to a place that actually knows what they're doing, its gonna cost a lot (regardless of where you go) and even then, it probably wont be done right.

I myself suggest sourcing all the parts, researching your heart out on here about swapping in (what was it you wanted? A 1jz or 2jz?). Keep in mind, its not an easy task thats gonna require lots of research (as well as immense help from the guys on here), lots of time finding the right parts, and the money to buy those parts with. Supra's arent referred to as money pits for nothing.

Honestly, I wish you luck on this swap. I was planning a 1jz swap for myself to be completed by December, which is when I start a job that'll be able to pay for a 2jz /w stroker setup for my Supra, but its not worth the time and money to do 1jz then go to 2jz. I learned its quite the task. Motor mounts, bellhousing, wiring, intercooler, exhaust, and then some.

Ready to dig in? We're here for ya.

(plus doing it yourself gives bragging rights lol)

Yeah man, what engine are you trying to swap and into what car? My friend's and I can do Honda B-series engine swaps very easily, it's more complicated with Toyotas since there aren't really interchangeable parts from model to model.
