I have a friend who is selling an 85 celica supra for 800. The body is in good condition besides a little weathering on the roof paint and the motor has 250k on it. It runs great (car has positraction too) but it has a pully that knocks and will cost another 250 to fix. I cant find any sort of price to compare it to but i love the car and want to buy it. Is it worth it?

I'd inspect it thoroughly, but as to whether it's worth it, only you can answer that. Ask yourself this: In looking through an autotrader, how many other cars do you see selling for a grand that you like?
