Aftermarket blow off valves

Is there a stock blow off valve where i should mount a aftermarket one, or would i just have to find a place to mount it up. I was thinking about getting a GReddy type rs bov and i wanted to make sure someone knew where i could mount it up.

Well, outta the box, most blow off valves either have a large flange which would need to be welded to a pipe OR they have an inlet. If it's got an inlet you can run the stock hose to it.

The stock blow off valve, is really a recirculation valve. It is located on a nipple on the far front, and passenger side of the 3000 pipe and has a hose that runs into the stock accordian hose.

You have no way to use that blow off vale. There's no way to attach it to the 3000 pipe.

Yes, those are the original covers for TEMS.

That Greddy has an optional flange for hose mounting. Your local Greddy supplier should be able to get it if you are set on this valve...

So what do you suggest? I dont want to pay like 200$ for a new blow off valve. And if i got it welded to a flange, where would that go?

The greddy flange bolts to the valve you have, and has a hose barb. You then get a hose to go from the 3000 pipe to the greddy one. Autozone and others will have the various size transition hoses after you have the measurements from the 3000 pipe port and the greddy flange

Most (-MOST-) BOV's you'll find, will be welded to the pipe, rather than run through the stock hose on the 3000 pipe.

you want the aluminium item in the middle. This is actually the MKIV kit, but that piece is used on a few different models. I have no idea on the part number. This will allow you to use a hose and avoid installing hard pipe and a welded flange.

I looked around for a few greddy flanges but all of them say Weld on flange, where the HKS one has a kit that replaces some of the stock intercooler piping without any welding. But ill probably end up just buying a new bov.

Now, don't be mislead. You can buy JUST an HKS BOV (and I believe they offer a similar adapter), but the HKS Mk3 SSQV BOV kit, replaces that upper pipe.

So are you saying i can hook up a HKS SSQV without all the special adapters but for the GReddy i need them? Also i don't want to order the HKS kit to hook it up, and have it be just a slight difference to have it not work. Id like to get some confirmation that the HKS adapter thing works with the GREDDY BOV.
