Is that the same as the HKS foam filter? If so, the Apexi hands down. Similar flow, less dirt. The HKS "Super Mega Flow" was informally known as the "Super Dirt Flow" for a reason...

I like the new generation of synthetic filters from AEM, AMSOIL, etc. No oil to suck into the motor, it only takes soap and water to clean, and good filtration.

I've used the HKS filters for ages now and I've never had issues with dirt. I've run from stock 5-7 psi of boost all the way up to 20+psi and still no issues. The HKS offers two type of filters, 2-layer oil (racing) and 3 layer dry (street performance). I've used both and I have yet to have issues. Then again I keep my engine bay clean and where I live (San Diego, CA) we don't get much dust in the air, or do I take my cars into the desert.

I've always like the HKS Super Mega Flow, so I'll say HKS.

It's in Japanese but if you click on each filter it will show the car's power in PS and the rated filtering capability.

Ya know. I run the HKS Super Dirt Flow, and really, I can't complain too much. I figure if an air filter is really costing me that much HP, then I've got a bigger problem. Only time I actually had a dirt problem, it was due to not running a filter at all.
