MHG Questions.

Some questions about metal headgaskets.
What is the stock bore? Ive seen some headgaskets that are 83mm, 85mm and 87mm.
Also what should i get if i was replacing a working headgasket if the head doesnt need machined. Ive seen some 1.1mm , 1.2mm, and up to 2.0mm.
Trying to replace my headgasket so it doesnt blow on me.

83mm is the stock bore. The headgasket without machining is a misnomer...the head will require some degree of machine work if your goal is not to suffer a headgasket failure. Your machinist will advise as to the amount removed so you can determine the gasket you will need. If you insist on trying it without the work, I would suggest the 1.2 as that is quite close enough to stock to be alright.

Im going to end up having a shop do it because i wanna make sure its done right. All my friends are american car fans and know nothin about my car so im kinda boned. Going to have a performance shop do it though. So 1.2mm thick is closest to stock and just add on from there if they have to shave it. 83mm x 1.2mm cool. Thanks man. Any suggestions on the MHG? Greddy, HKS, and Cometic. Cometic is nearly 100$ cheaper than the greddy and hks's though.
EDIT: The cometics come in 84 and 86mm bores. The HKS in 86mm. And Greddy is 83 and 85. (www.jscspeed.com)
