3rd Generation Catch can

I am planning on installing a pcv catch can on my 7mgte. I need to know how to route the lines. I would like to vent my crankcase from the main line that runs from the crankcase to the head on the front drivers side, and of course vent the two lines on the valve covers. I am not sure how to do it, and if it will affect my cars ecu. I have an un-vented aluminum catch can with two input lines right now, but I can always custom vent it with a hose barb and a mini k&n. Anybody know how to do this? Should it be vented?

vented it may not clear enough allowing pressure increases in the crankcase. Plumb it inline with the stock routing. You might cap the throttle body, and keep the accordian hose connection if you only want to cut down on how much oil might get into your intercooler pipes.

catch can

Well the reason I ask is that during negative pressure situations it might be possible to reverse the whole process and bring the oil right back into the engine. Although its supposed to be there, its not really serving a purpose then.

the idea of the can is to drain it. That oil and oil residue has been vaporized. While it will be oil again after it condenses, I wouldn't bother for the small amounts you will actually catch. Besides, there are no negative pressure situations inside a crankcase (so negligable a percentage of time as to not be worth mentioning). There is positive, and there is equal to atmosphere. If you really wanted to recycle the oil, you could run a tube from the bottom of the can to the oil pan as well, but I don't see the benefit.

Here's the best catch can I've found to date:

Also, you really don't want to recycle the oil you catch in there... Trust me. Take a good long look at what comes out of the can when you open it up, and you'll see why.

No I don't mean to recycle it, I am asking if I can stop it at the main source of venting and run the crankcase vent to the can right away, instead of just venting the upper lines on the cam covers

If somebody could post a couple pictures or a link of some type thats easy to understand the best way to run a catch can on a 89 supra, that would be great. I had oil lining my entire intake system and I don't want it to happen again
