Angry head gasket

Well my machinist took of just enough for a 1.2mm head gasket to work, but he said to stay away from the 85 and 86 mm bore gaskets, which pretty much screws me. He said it will probably bump my compression just enough to dog it down on acceleration and perhaps high speeds. My only option is the cometic 1.3mm, which would bring it past the perfect amount he took off. Im not sure what to do here.

What does your machinist know that every other Supra owner doesn't? Honestly, he's wrong. I've driven my car in every condition from stock, to multiple BHG's, to several headgaskests. Never once did a head gasket change any performance aspect of the car.

That being said, Cometic is a well known and respected HG manufacaturer anyway.

Oh, all I'm saying is that he seems to want me to stay away from a thicker gasket than what I need, and he said just try to stay close to the stock bore. The cometic would do that if it was a 1.2mm instead of 1.3

1.3 is unbelievably minor. I know people running 2mm's on their first machining. Don't worry about it.
