I wouldn't go out there to race, i would go out there to just meet up with other people who love cars. Its people like the guys who raced that fuck it up. I wonder if people at the sonic parking lot where we meet got spectators tickets. (6 points on your license)

There are so many cars down there every weekend. Mustangs, camaros, boosted civics and integras, a skyline from japan thats rhd, a mr2 thats rhd, a 1jz swaped supra shows up a lot. A bunch of camaros and F body cars. There are a ton of cars, next time i go if its not too hot ill take some pics.

Oh by the way the penalty the people got for street racing was as follows.
1 night in jail the night it happened.
30 days to 6 months in jail
1000$ Fine
3 Years no license
If your convicted of street racing in my state.

That's not messed up...messed up is going to a known race launch point and then wondering why you are getting harassed by the police...

As understand it, spectator tickets are usually given to those actually on the race line. If everyone stayed at the sonic, it shouldn't be a big deal. That said, I'd expect to need to find a new hang if you don't want to be checked out for every noise and safety violation under the sun for a while.

I'm guilty of trying to race back in the day, but now I think its immature, lame, stupid, and quite frankly, dangerous. If people are gonna race, take it to the track. Why do you think dragstrips have open race days? To keep idiots like that off the road. They got what they deserved and they're lucky they dont live nearby where I live. 1st offense, if found quilty of racing, your car gets crushed. You dont get to take anything out or off. Even personal effects.

Street racing is stupid. Period.

I would rather do auto cross or hit 1/4 mile or 1/8 mile track. Getting my car impounded would just suck, I would never have the money to get it out. I am too broke.
