I just had a warning light come on on my dash that i have no idea what it is and i could not find it anywhere that says what it is for. it is on the far left side and is a yellow lamp that looks like an air cleaner or something of that sort. if anyone knows what it is for or what to check that would be great. thanks

Far left side on a MKIII supra...it is the bird has left the cage warning....

Actually, it is the low coolant light. It also looks like a birdcage, or a radiator.

The low coolant light, can simply mean 'Low Coolant', however it is also synonymous for a slew of horrible things, the worst of course is the dreaded "Blown Head Gasket".

it's also been called the "bank" light because it's time to throw more money at it..

i see well thanks for the help. the light came on and then went out but i do think my headgasket blew. it just pours out white smoke and smells like coolant a little. but i had reasons in the back of my head that it is the headgasket. oh well...motors gettin pulled and getting done right
