well i want to do the swap and i was just wondering if it is a direct swap, or will there be alot of problems or extra parts, if so what are they

will the engines interchange...yes.

will the electronics...no. Every piece of electronics from the ECU forward will need replacement or rewiring. It is far easier than say a 2j swap as it's all designed to be in that engine bay. I would source a full front clip and start swapping everything if I were for some reason to consider this transplant.

That said, I look at it this way: it is usually cheaper to sell the normally aspirated car and just buy a turbo car. Unless there is something really special about your NA (ie it is mint and no turbos exist in the same price range you can get, extra low miles, had some weird or unusual dealer installed parts etc), I'd not go this route.

there is this 88 for sale it is all green, has a orn up bdy kit, the interior is crap like the dash and all that is bad, it has an engine knock at a higher rpm, but its 5 speed turbo, for 1800. lol, mine is almost mint, o and the green one has only 146000 miles, idk lol

i'd buy that green one and sell yours. It would suck yeah, but you'd have the turbo. You could get the 1800 for that Supra from selling yours and you will still have to buy another 7mgte as planned. Not to mention the turbo Supra has the R134 tranny, the LSD, and the Supra Turbo appearance lol

if you love yours keep it if not sell it. but when i did my swap i needed the ecu,intercooler and piping,oil cooler,engine harness,r154 tranny,lengthing the drive shaft,all new belts and hoses,coil pack and ignitor,turbo down pipe,hks metal head gasket and arp head studs,turbo maf,accordian,air filter with adapter,engine bay harness.
optional but rec.
turbo power steering resiviour
cruise control accuator
turbo pressure sensor
turbo exuast
turbo fuel pump
turbo diff
