Is it possible to take out the bulb in the stock housing, like slide it out the back, and slide in a Hella H4 bulb for the HID look thing? Will this work?
you can get the housings at Kragen or one of the Kragen variants (Checker / Schucks / Kragen). My friend bought them there for his 240sx. Turns out real good too. I think they're like, $25 or so?
Nice nice. Wich model housings do i need? Also, if i got the Hella Housings and bulbs, would i need one of those HID projector kit thingys? The things u install to have real hids or somethin iuno.
I know that the kit my friend got for his 240sx just came with the housing and the new light connectors with some wire. As far as the HID conversion goes, you'll probably have to buy the housing then buy a separate HID conversion kit. Those can get pricey. The ones i've seen didnt look that great. Theres bad kits and good kits.
The more i think about it the more of a big waste of cash and pain in the ass it could be. I could spend that cash somewhere else (rebuilt turbo, exhaust, injectors, etc.) HID's just arn't worth it. I was just tryin to take out the bulbs from the stock headlights, well the silverstar ultras i got, and slap a blue bulb in it. Ive seen it done in camaros and other cars, they heat it up around where you plug it in and the bulb will slide out. Then you can go get a hella h4 bulb and put it in. Thats the whole thing i was askin. I had some old headlights i threw away a week ago now that i think about it f*ck. Well i might go buy a 10$ headlight and give it a shot anyways. If i do ill let you guys know how it worked out.
Like opening the sealed bulb and putting in the composite in that hole? hmmm never heard of that before but that doesnt mean it cant happen. Definately keep us posted on that.
