1987 MA70, won't start. More details inside

Okay, so, I woke up this morning, to find my battery dead. Tried to jumpstart it, and failed. The head fuse ticks on and off for about 5 minutes after i turn the ignition on, I don't know if thats relevant or not.

The car also has a dynatron alarm, most likely with an immobiliser. I'm thinking that the powercut to the alarm might have triggered the immobiliser, hence why the car is refusing to start. The only problem with this is that I don't have a remote for the alarm.

What in gods name am I supposed to do?

Edit: Theres a small amount of power left in the battery, but not nearly enough to turn the engine over.

I would start with the simple stuff. Jump starts are not always enough. Charge the battery outside of hte car. The lack of complete power may reset the alarm as well. Some electronics don't just stop responding with low voltage, but can do all sorts of strange things that disconnecting the battery totally would not even cause. Then move onto fuses. Ensure you hear fuel in the rail when you turn the key to the run/on position. Now find what circuit the alarm cuts and see if the power is indeed cut there. From there, remove the alarm system and restore factory connections, or find a dealer locally for the alarm and tow it there to get it sorted out.

It sucks, but welcome to electrical gremlins. Start with the easiest, work your way up logically from there.

Thanks, I've narrowe it down to being the alarm, because the battery was completely dead.

And the alarm light has gone from solid on, to flashing very fast.

I guess I'm going to have to start delving into the alarm system >_<

I'm gonna follow this thread closely because I had some sort of aftermarket alarm setup thing under the driver's side of the dash and I... cut it out

I hope you can figure out what has been immobilized and fix it easily.

No worries, at least you are trying to help! For that alone, I give you a big !

Immobilizer systems are a solid 30% of my no-start appointments. I'm not sure what type of area you live in, but here between the middle of nowhere and BFE, I always suggest disabling/removing such systems.
