7m-gte oil pressure?

Im reading off the stock oil gauge, and i have not been boosting it at all since i just got it back from the shop due to a BHG. But i dont read more than 20-30 lbs between idle-2500 rpm. Should i be having higher oil pressure? Think my oil pump is starting to go?

EDIT: DOnt want to make a thread for this, but about 200 miles into driving my car nicely after the hg job, i accidently boosted it up to like 4lbs for about a second then i realized and let off. I dont think this little bit would have messed anything up. My plan is to run 500 miles, (the car was heat treated and retorqued 3 times), then another 250 on 4-5 lbs before i go up to fuel cut. Sound good?

Boost isn't a big deal really. Just don't drive like an idiot . Good varied driving. Stop and go. Don't treat the motor harshly. The oil pressure listed in the manual (you'll note) is VERY low. At idle it lists at something like 4psi. It's a high volume, low pressure system.

I don't understand your desire to run to fuel cut. Those last few PSI gain you very little. It's very near the end of the efficency of the turbo and it's largely blowing hot air, but to each their own.

I wouldn't worry about your engine personally.

Cool thanks jeeves. Yeah my oil pressure will be around 40 on cold start, then once it warms up it sits around the first line (20 lbs i believe). And when i drive at about 2500 rpm it will go probably about 25. Can't tell you much more than that.

That's nothing to worry about.
