Cracked wastgate

Ok guys here we go again, I was just about to bolt up my turbo with a new titian downpipe and I noticed that I have the dreaded cracks around my wastegate flange. There is also one in the exhast port where the down pipe attatches that is about 2.5 inches long. I know aftermarket housings have been made to remedy this, but I can't find them. The funny thing is is I know that this car wasn't beat on, and it only has 43,000 miles. Everything on and in the car looks brand new. Maybe the intercooler became heatsoaked and overheated the whole works. Oh, well all in speculation. Otherwise, if anybody has one they could sell me thats in good shape I'd appreaciate it.

Welcome to a CT. They almost all do it over time. Your's sounds worse than most though. All the ones I've handled have small cracks around the wastegate, but I've never seen one more than about 1/4 inch.

Wastegate ports crack. Just because of what they go through it's in their nature. You have to remember that that flap will open and close and slam open and shut and is letting gasses pass that may exceed 1100ºF. Not really something I'd balk at.

Don't have one to say, just thought I'd pop my head in and comment.
